I’m passionate about well-designed spaces, and for good reason. Beyond its beauty, aesthetically pleasing design has the power to inspire.
Have you ever noticed that inspiration begets breakthrough? This happens across a whole host of disciplines. Academics often seek a change of scenery when on sabbatical to gain fresh perspective inspired by new context. Authors retreat to remote locations to uncover novel concepts spurred by their surroundings. Artists, too, take cues from their environment—in many cases looking to nature for their inspiration.
But we need not travel far for inspiration. Beautiful spaces can take you places. We can find inspiration in the normal, the routine—even the mundane. We are all creators, and we can live, work, and play in beautifully designed environments that inspire us to bring our best to all we’re called to do.
